How a Project Moves Through Azovo

Complex sign programs use defined approval gates. Smaller orders use only the stages necessary for their product, quantity and project risk.

RFQ and Inputs

Artwork, dimensions, quantities, application, destination, required dates and available site information are reviewed. Missing information is identified before assumptions enter quotation or engineering.

Engineering Review

Geometry, materials, structure, lighting, electrical configuration, manufacturing process, mounting interfaces and transportation limitations are reviewed to determine whether the proposed product can be produced reliably.

Drawing Approval

A rendering helps explain appearance. Production, however, must follow the applicable approved engineering information rather than a visual rendering alone.

Commercial signage frequently changes after the first drawing.

Dimensions can change following final site measurement. A brand team may select another finish after reviewing a sample. Electrical components may differ between destination markets. Forming and Fabrication

Metal bending, channel forming and fabrication create letter returns, cabinets, frames and dimensional structures. Bend position, curves, seams and reinforcement directly affect appearance and final assembly.

Welding and Finishing

Welding, grinding and polishing build fabricated structures and prepare visible metal surfaces. Painted, brushed, polished, plated or powder-coated products require different preparation and surface-control methods.

Acrylic Processing

Different sample types answer different questions. A color plate cannot approve a complete structure, and a rendering cannot replace physical validation where finish or lighting risk is high.

Standard sample manufacturing is generally recorded at 5–7 days, while complex sample manufacturing is generally recorded at 7–10 days after applicable drawing, material and sample-release conditions are complete. Design approval, special material procurement, tooling, third-party testing and international courier transit are calculated separately.

An approved sample becomes the physical reference only for the characteristics it was created to validate. A finish sample may approve color and texture while leaving product structure unresolved.

A final visual inspection cannot reliably control defects created during earlier fabrication.

Incoming inspection can verify materials or components before they enter production. For a multi-location program, quality means more than checking whether one sign looks attractive. Dimensions, finish, illumination, product identity, accessories and packaging must remain aligned across repeated products and delivery waves.

Azovo has 40+ quality personnel supporting inspection and quality activities. The number does not mean every product is examined by every quality employee; responsibility is allocated according to process, product and project requirements.

Where an inspection finds a deviation, the product should not simply continue because a later operation might hide the issue. Disposition can include correction, rework, replacement, accepted deviation where properly authorized or rejection according to the applicable requirement.

Illuminated Sign Testing

Illuminated products introduce electrical and optical risks that cannot be evaluated when the sign remains unpowered.

Azovo performs 100% lighting checks on illuminated products, meaning each illuminated unit is powered for functional verification rather than only testing a small batch sample.

Additional testing capability includes water-resistance, electrical safety, grounding, power, brightness, color-temperature, salt-spray, adhesion and high/low-temperature testing. The applicable test plan depends on sign construction, environment and project requirements; non-illuminated or indoor products are not automatically subjected to every available test.

Finding a defect is not the end of the quality process.
